Duties and responsibilities: social workers help people and their families
with problems in their lives and such as serious illness, child abuse,
substance abuse, mental illness, handicaps, juvenile delinquency, and
anti-social behavior. Often they must help people accept situations that
cannot be changed and make them think positive.
Salary: social workers who specialize in children and family
welfare made in median salary of $41,530 in 2012 according to the BLS. The best paid 10 percent in the field
earned $71,000 while the lowest paid made approximately $26,720…!
Education: for their
education students should prepare for a career in social work by taking
challenging high school courses, especially in English, science, and including math.
Reflection: would you like to be one? yeah I would like to
be a social worker because you help
people and families you help kids baby’s etc. a lot of people I like to help
people I think I want to take this career.
